To our MomsRising members -- you are incredible. We thank you for persisting, especially when the going is tough. We remain heartbroken about the outcome at the top of the ticket, as we also thank you for doing the Get Out The Vote work that helped get 51 candidates to victory, as well as helped get many ballot measures over the finish line. We didn’t win everything, but– and in no small part because of you – we didn’t lose everything. Thank you. We’re not giving up. We’re not giving up on you...
MomsRising stands with immigrant families and our public schools. On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the North Carolina Senate joined the NC House in voting to override Governor Cooper’s veto of HB10, an anti-immigrant bill. As a result, it will become law effective December 1, 2024. This anti-immigrant legislation requires local sheriffs to collaborate with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, increasing the risk of arrests and deportations, even for minor offenses. It also...

Special Guests include: Donna Norton and Ruth Martin, MomsRising, @MomsRising ; U.S. Representative Teresa Leger-Fernandez, @repteresaLF @DemWomenCaucus ;...

So it was zero surprise to us following the election that we’ve been hearing from moms from every corner of this country asking how they can create networks of support...

More than three weeks after Hurricane Helene struck western North Carolina in what Gov. Cooper has called "the deadliest and most devastating storm" in North Carolina's history, things are still far from normal for families across twenty-five counties. People are still missing and hundreds of roads remain closed, while thousands of our neighbors remain without power or water. Normalcy is missing for so many children as they wait for their child care centers and schools to reopen, and parents...
