On Saturday, June 21, MomsRising hosted A Motherlovin’ Good Time — an afternoon filled with laughter, joy, and powerful community connection in New York City.

With a packed room at Caveat NYC, moms from across the city showed up not only to laugh but to build collective power. The comedy lineup, featuring the hilarious Negin Farsad, Carolyn Castiglia, and Casey Balsham, had us laughing out loud and nodding in recognition of the real, raw, and joyful experiences of motherhood.

Between jokes and empanadas, moms took meaningful action—joining our movement, sharing their stories, and committing to raise their voices for policies that support families.

We believe joy is resistance—and this event was a beautiful reminder that building community and fighting for change can also look like laughter, dancing, and saying yes to ourselves and each other. ✨

If you couldn’t make it, we missed you! But don’t worry—this won’t be the last time we come together for joy, justice, and action. Stay tuned for the next one!
