Ruby Sinreich (she/her) is a web developer and technologist who has worked with progressive advocacy organizations and online communities for over three decades. She created the first website for the North Carolina Justice Center, was the first online field organizer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, provided expertise on network-centric organizing strategies for Greenpeace International and the American Civil Liberties Union, and led the development and management of one of the most active Drupal Commons sites in the world at HASTAC.org.
Ruby is passionate about open source software and open space meetings, and enjoys facilitating unconferences such as NCTech4Good for fellow geeks and nonprofit workers. She is a recovering blogger and grassroots organizer, who can sometimes still be found at Palestinian liberation protests and public school PTA meetings. She is a queer Buddhist Jew, and lives with her son and cats in Durham, North Carolina.
