The Washington State MomsForce works to ensure that the needs of Washington moms, caregivers, and families are visible in our communities and to our lawmakers. We do this by opening up lines of communication directly to leaders that work for moms and families.
The Washington State MomsForce represents 40,000 moms, dads, and families across the Evergreen State. Over 10+ years of advocacy, MomsRising members have won historic investments in:
- early learning and affordable childcare
- funding for dual language learning programs
- pregnant worker protections
- statewide paid sick days
- paycheck transparency laws
- paid family and medical leave for ALL
- a working families tax credit

Take Action
Under current law, nearly half of Washington workers who are eligible for paid leave are not guaranteed their job back if they take leave. Accessing paid leave could not only result in being fired, but could also cause workers to lose access to healthcare at a time when they or their family need it the most. House Bill 1213 would fix that.
At this very moment, Washington lawmakers are deciding how to solve our state's budget shortfall. That's why they need to hear from you right now!
