"Tell PA Leaders: We Need Paid Family & Medical Leave"
Attention PA Mamas! We have a rare and exciting opportunity to make our voices heard at the highest level of state government. Governor Shapiro’s Advisory Commission on Women has launched the “State of the Woman” survey, and they want to know what it’s really like to live and work in the Commonwealth today. This survey will help shape the Shapiro Administration’s future policies, so we need to make sure one issue is front and center: Paid Family and Medical Leave. Why This Matters for Our...

A diverse group of children sitting together in a bright, modern public-school classroom.
Public schools provide the foundation for our communities, yet a federal voucher scheme currently siphons vital resources away from neighborhood classrooms to line the pockets of wealthy donors. Sens. Mark Kelly and Mazie Hirono recently introduced the Keep Public Funds in Public Schools Act (S. 4297) to repeal this unaccountable program and return those dollars to our children. Your advocacy forces Congress to prioritize neighborhood schools, protects resources for teachers and counselors, and ensures that students with disabilities receive the specialized support they deserve.

A graphic calling for an end to the Epstein cover-up and demanding the release of missing files.
The Department of Justice continues to withhold millions of pages of records despite the legally mandated deadline set by the Epstein Files Transparency Act. While the DOJ has redacted information to shield the powerful and well-connected — including 37 missing pages regarding allegations involving President Trump — it has simultaneously failed to protect the personal information of survivors. MomsRising is demanding that the DOJ comply with the law immediately to ensure no individual is above the law and survivors receive the transparency they deserve.

Close-up of a Black mother and sleeping baby, capturing a quiet moment of intimacy and joy.
Black Maternal Health Week calls us to be rooted in justice and joy. It requires us to imagine and build a world where Black mothers and families are not only surviving but thriving. A world where care is accessible, support is abundant, and joy is not interrupted by preventable harm. To get there, we must be honest about what stands in the way.

After five years of showing up — at the Capitol, in committee rooms, through hundreds of calls and emails — West Virginia families have won a major victory for child care. On April 2, 2026, House Bill 4191 became law, and it's the most comprehensive child care legislation our state has ever seen.

The administration has released a 2027 budget proposal that threatens to slash funding for essential family programs like health care and child care. MomsRising is mobilizing to stop "Reconciliation 2.0" — a legislative process that would divert taxpayer dollars away from our communities to fund historic military increases and human rights abuses.
