Statement “North Carolina moms are not fooled by the fact that cynical state legislators have included some badly needed, long overdue advances in Senate Bill 20, which at its core is a monstrous bill that will ban abortion in practice after 10 weeks of pregnancy and create often-insurmountable barriers to accessing abortion care, even early in pregnancy.

Statement “The U.S. Senate vote on the Equal Rights Amendment is a real disappointment. At this time when moms and women – and especially moms and women of color – face devastating wage discrimination, when our country has failed to adopt the programs and policies that would help parents and all caregivers achieve economic security, and when our bodily autonomy and access to reproductive health care is being gutted, all lawmakers from both political parties should support enshrining equal rights for women into our constitution.

Statement “While Republicans in the House congratulate themselves for passing the Limit, Save, Grow Act, moms and families across America shudder to think about the hardship and trauma this legislation would cause, should it ever become law.

Statement “America’s moms, women, health care providers, pregnant people, and all those who support democracy can breathe a sigh of relief that SCOTUS is rejecting restrictions on access to mifepristone, for now. The lower courts should never have allowed restrictions on an FDA-approved medication that has been used safely and effectively for 23 years, is proven safer than penicillin, Tylenol and Viagra, and is the only option many of us have left for abortion.

Statement “The executive order the Biden/Harris administration issued today is bold, transformative, and badly needed. At a time when millions of families cannot access or afford the child care, elder care, and/or disability care we need, these measures will support moms, family caregivers, care workers, businesses, communities, and our economy. This Executive Order puts the full weight of our federal government behind solutions to some of the most debilitating problems of our time. It will help address the child care crisis that has driven so many moms out of the workforce.

Statement “America’s moms cheer the Biden administration’s move to make health coverage through Medicaid, CHIP, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace available to our country’s nearly 600,000 DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients. DACA provides protections for hundreds of thousands of young people brought to this country as children, making it the only home most have ever really known.

Statement “Last night’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling was, quite simply, appalling. America’s moms are counting on SCOTUS to reaffirm the FDA’s authority and ensure that mifepristone – which is safer than Tylenol and Viagra – remains as available to people in this country as it was before Judge Kacsmaryk ruled last Friday night. Anything less will create mass confusion and unacceptable delays for patients with urgent reproductive health care needs, with devastating consequences for moms and pregnant people who need abortion.

Statement “Tennessee Republicans may be able to expel two Democratic lawmakers, but they will never silence the demand for safety from gun violence for our children and for our communities.  "And Tennessee Republicans may have stripped thousands of constituents of their representation in the State House, but their egregious violation of First Amendment rights will not stand.
