Joy (she/her, they/them) is a native of Lagos, Nigeria and graduate of Spelman College, holding a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. On campus, Joy served as Coordinator for the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, was a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow and Leadership Alliance Mellon Initiative Fellow, and interned with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, RESULTS: The Power to End Poverty, and the Food Chain Workers Alliance. Joy is committed to our collective liberation and building a community-centered society free of white supremacy and anti-Blackness, and plans to eventually use her organizing skills across the African continent to ensure that government institutions and public service delivery mechanisms are effective while promoting community-centered solutions to poverty. When she's not organizing, she loves eating Pad Thai and watch Youtube videos.
