ACTION OF THE MONTH
Learn and share this important Know Your Rights Training: Last week, Jonathan Blazer from the ACLU joined MomsRising’s Monthly Community Meeting to provide a Know Your Rights training. As our communities face increased violence and activity from ICE at the direction of the Trump administration, knowing our rights and looking out for one another is more important than ever. Check out this trusted Know Your Rights training and make sure to share it with your communities and loved ones!

Trump and Republicans in Congress made extreme cuts to health care to pay for separating families, human rights abuses, and terrifying hardworking immigrants. It’s time to keep the pressure on the Senate to protect affordable health care for millions of Americans and extend the ACA tax credits.

In January, we celebrated the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. We continue to stand firmly for our right to make decisions about our health care and our bodies.

MUTUAL SUPPORT OPTION
What is mutual aid? Different from charity— where resources usefully flow in one direction from donors to recipients—mutual aid is community-driven and reciprocal, built on community-based solidarity. And many parents and caregivers are already doing this (think: your local PTA, community gardens, or even kids’ birthday parties). In creating communities of love, we also want to turn them into communities of support, protection, and action to prepare for what’s ahead. Curious how to get started? Here’s how to create a mutual aid pod in your community!
MUTUAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY OF THE MONTH: Stand in Solidarity with Minnesota
-
Write a love note to Minnesota: Stand in solidarity with Minnesota and show your support by writing a love note or a message of appreciation to those defending their community and neighbors in Minnesota.
-
Donate: Activists on-the-ground in Minnesota have created a list of legal aid funds, rapid response infrastructure, and organizations putting funds and resources quickly and directly into people’s hands. Learn more and offer your support in the way that resonates with you. You can even donate your Delta SkyMiles to help people released from detention get home to MN.
-
Take Action: Learn more about how to support our Minnesota community here.
Thank you for being here. We are looking forward to strengthening connections and community in refreshing, educational, and joyful ways with you in the coming months!
