There are two qualities that I admire the most about my mother: the strength of her willpower and her sense of self-value. When I was invited to join in a civil disobedience action that would lead to my arrest, I was terrified. What if I started crying when the police put me into handcuffs? So I asked around: what could I expect? How would it feel when I was arrested? What would happen? Do you have a wish for this holiday season? I do. I wish that all families can stay together. That’s why I’m participating in A Wish for the Holidays, a campaign to gather 5,000 letters from kids asking our nation’s leaders to ensure that families stay together.
