Our 4th RISER cohort is full of MOM POWER! In the fall of 2024, we welcomed 16 mamas from all over the country, literally: from the tippy top in Alaska all the way down to Florida and many in between; we are so thrilled to have 12 states represented in this cohort.

This group brings caregivers from all walks of life who represent the diversity that makes our country special. They are from red states and blue states (and purple ones too!). Some of them are new to advocacy, and some have already participated in actions with MomsRising and on their own. We are delighted to bring together such a powerful group and hope participating in the program will help them step into their power (because mamas are the original organizers, many of us just don’t know it yet!) and continue growing their advocacy.

The RISERS Parent Leadership program launched in 2021. Our goal was simple: to support parent leaders and help them develop their skills as advocates and leaders in their communities.

As with every cohort, this year’s group brings unique experiences and perspectives, but they all have one goal: to lift up the issues that impact families with babies and young children. We are excited to be working with these phenomenal mamas:

  • Liv, Alaska

  • Alisia, Florida

  • Jessica, Illinois

  • Chauntay, Maryland

  • Tracey, Maryland

  • Cori Michigan

  • Amanda, New Hampshire

  • Rachel, New York

  • Rosdaly, New York

  • Andrea, Rhode Island

  • Ariane, South Carolina

  • Ashley, Texas

  • Megan, Texas

  • Anna, Utah

  • Mackenzie, Utah

  • Anika, Washington

Advocating for child care, maternal health and more!

While our RISERS program is anchored in early learning, RISERS also have the opportunity to work on other issues like protecting public education and LGBTQ+ rights and other issues that are pressing like the importance of registering to vote and voting, fighting to protect reproductive rights and ensuring children have access to diverse books in their schools, libraries and communities.

Want to get involved? Storytelling is a great way to start your advocacy journey with MomsRising! You can share your story with us via this link, or share a video (we love seeing your faces!)
