President Trump has proposed eliminating all afterschool program funding.

Nearly 2 million kids and families could lose the afterschool programs they count on to keeps kids safe and engaged in learning, and help working parents keep their jobs.

The Afterschool Alliance is hosting a nationwide Day of Action to fight President Trump's proposal.  We're asking  concerned citizens to take action from home bycontacting Congress.

Congress will decide whether local afterschool and summer learning programs remain open, reduce their services, or shut their doors.
Let our leaders know that America’s kids and families can’t afford to lose afterschool programs.

Hundreds of afterschool professionals--and quite a few brave kids--will go to Capitol Hill this Wednesday, June 7 to ask Congress to stop the cuts to 21st Century Community Learning Centers, the only federal funding dedicated to afterschool.

Let’s get their backs. Join us on June 7 to make sure every member of Congress hears a loud and clear message that voters won't accept the gutting of America's afterschool programs.

For every child in a program, two are waiting to get in. It’s time to invest in the programs our kids and families need, not eliminate them.
