It’s time! We need you to #KeepMarching with us while Congress is home during their recess!

Recess? Well, right now, members of Congress are in their home districts and many are hosting Town Halls to hear from constituents. Not everyone can attend in-person, so we’ve compiled a list of questions that we’ll be submitting to members of Congress for them to answer in order to represent the people who can’t be there—and we’d love it if you added your name to our letter so they pay attention to it.

Sign on to tell Congress: “Parents and kids want answers!”

When you click the link above, you’ll see our list of MomsRising questions that we’re sending to members of Congress to ask them to answer at Town Halls while they are back home in their districts. You’ll also be able to add your own question. We’ll deliver it to your members of Congress before the end of the recess.

Together, our voices are working! We’ve seen across the country that keeping the pressure up is having a big impact on members of Congress. For instance, we know MomsRising members (and so many other organizations) mobilizing and using our “outside voices” has so far stopped the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. That's huge!

We’re on a roll! We need to keep the pressure on to make sure lawmakers know we’re in this for the long haul, they are accountable to us, and we are paying attention to the top policy priorities that impact our families and economy. Our list of questions includes: health care, immigration, paid family leave, early learning, our national budget, and criminal justice reform. By submitting these questions we’ll remind our members of Congress what is top of mind for families in their districts.

*Can you sign on? Remind your members of Congress that they must answer to their constituents. Sign onto this list of questions and we’ll send them to your members of Congress and ask them to answer them at a Town Hall near you: http://action.momsrising.org/survey/recess-questions/?source=blog

Lawmakers rely on contact from their constituents to gauge what people in their districts care about most. Sending them a clear message about what questions we want answers to can make a big impact!

It’s time to make sure our leaders know that the policies they make on health care, paid family leave, early learning, our nation’s budget, criminal justice reform, and immigration impact our families—and that we’re paying attention!
