In celebration of Mother’s Day 2018, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi hosted a Moms Summit: Addressing the Needs of America’s Families. Leader Pelosi reached out to invite MomsRising's executive director, Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, to be among the leaders speaking at the event, and to invite local MomsRising supporters to attend!

So on Friday, May 18, 2018, dozens of MomsRising supporters from the DC metro area gathered at the Capitol Visitors Center Auditorium of the U.S. Capitol to hear national experts, academics, and Members of Congress to discuss solutions for the challenges facing today’s mothers and their families.
