Raise your voice!

Your voice isn’t being heard, yet.

In early March, the Supreme Court of the United States will review a case that threatens to eliminate financial assistance for health coverage in about 36 states as part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). A ruling against the ACA could increase the number of uninsured by 8.2 million people and could increase the costs of health coverage up to 35% for all health consumers even if they don’t have ACA coverage.

This legal case is about us and our health coverage. We are the ones using the preventive services, talking to our doctors, signing our families up for coverage, and paying the monthly premiums.

This U.S. Supreme Court case impacts us directly and we need to make sure our stories are heard.

Make sure your voice is represented in this case—share your experience with healthcare coverage so we can tell the U.S. Supreme Court how their decision will impact working families.

As the U.S. Supreme Court hearing gets underway, the news media will be looking for real people who can share what this decision would mean for their families’ health. We can help shape the debate around this case by sharing your stories about what health coverage has meant to you and your family.

After over 50 Congressional votes to repeal or limit the ACA failed, this is a new route to dismantle the successful law. But chipping away core pieces of the ACA won’t help anyone. While the healthcare law may not be perfect, it’s a great start that is making a huge difference for a lot of people.

Since the Affordable Care Act became law, women can no longer be charged more for health coverage than men, maternity care and childbirth are now covered as an essential health benefit for plans both on and off the marketplace, all consumers now have access to lifesaving preventive care, and no one (including more than 17.6 million children) can be denied health coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Just last week, Astrid Muhammad, a North Carolina mom of two, attended the State of Union address after sharing how her new marketplace place health coverage under the Affordable Care Act help her have a brain tumor removed. The healthcare law is literally saving lives.

Let’s do our part to make sure the U.S. Supreme Court knows what the Affordable Care Act means to working families.

Help us make some noise that will be heard all the way at the steps of the court! Share your healthcare coverage experiences today and we’ll work to make sure your story is heard by key decision makers.

This is our healthcare. We fought for it together. Now it’s time we defend it.
