From diabetes to heart disease, we are seeing an unprecedented increase in diet-related illnesses throughout the country, much of it due to eating too much sugar.

Bring your questions to learn the truth behind just how much added sugar we consume, why that’s so hard to find out, and what we can do to help Americans make healthier food decisions at this week’s #FoodFri tweetchat at 1 p.m. EST on July 11, 2014.

Union of Concerned Scientists’ Gretchen Goldman, will shed light on what science tells us about the impacts of sugar—in all its various forms—on our health, how the food industry is working hard to compromise our families’ health for their profits, and ways we can see beyond food companies’ misleading marketing and get the facts.
