We applaud Senate President Steinberg, who – along with co-author Senate Health Committee chair Elaine Alquist and principal co-author Assembly Health Committee chair Dave Jones – introduced SB 1, a bill declaring the intent of the Legislature to ensure that all children have access to affordable health coverage.

For many years, California has made incremental, yet steady progress in providing low-cost health coverage options for all children. SB 1 could finally allow California to finish the job of covering all children.

This is exciting news for The Children’s Partnership, the 100% Campaign, and MomsRising.org as we work to ensure that every child has access to health coverage. We are thrilled to have Senator Steinberg as our partner.
