Today is the last day of Black History Month and we have spent the past 28 days celebrating the amazing accomplishments of many notable activists, authors, advocates, and artists.
This month we celebrated Toni Morrison, Audre Lorde, Coretta Scott King, Patrisse Khan -Cullors, Sonia Sanchez, Bayard Rustin, and Zora Neal Hurston.
We also took time to zone in on the importance of voting and the position of Supreme Court Justice through honoring the work of Thurgood Marshall who was a part of the legendary Brown v. Board decision.
On the heels of Biden’s selection of the Supreme Court of the United States nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, we are excited for the potential of the first Black woman to hold the position in this country’s history and reflect on the current issues affecting mothers across the nation.
On Feb. 17th we took a moment to acknowledge the importance of Black Immigrant advocacy as the countries of Cameroon, Mauritania, and Ethiopia continues to face issues of inequality and violence.

On the last day of Black History Month, we want to acknowledge that Black history is 365.
