Jananury isn't barely over and we already have hit the ground running based on your feedback from last year!

It’s 2024 and the New Year has me feeling hopeful about what we can accomplish in Florida this year. Not because fresh start affirmations and flying across the internet, but because MomsRising members have been WORKING in 2023 across the state to make sure our families have a brighter future in Florida.

Now we need to hear from more moms, parents, and caregivers in Florida. If you live in Florida, tell MomsRising what our 2024 Florida New Year’s Resolutions should be in this very brief survey by following this link.

What did MomsRising moms, parents, grandparents, and community members like you do in Florida last year? A LOT:

  • Mom led listening sessions in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, the Treasure Coast, Orlando, and Jacksonville

  • Hundreds of media moments of Florida moms talking about what families actually need in our state like affordable child care and WIC

  • Speaking directly to Florida elected leaders on the critical issues impacting our families (like the property insurance crisis, lack of of affordable child care, attacks on public schools) at every level at in-district meetings, community conversations, delegation meetings, and school board meetings

  • Thousands of digital actions and hundreds of calls to elected leaders

  • Organized banned books bashes, tabled at community events, and partnered with the Transformative Justice Coalition and other local organizations to distribute hundreds of recently banned books in public schools

MomsRising is just getting started in Florida and we are READY to ramp up the MOMentum in 2024.

It’s important to us that our work is shaped, driven, and led by moms, parents, caregivers directly impacted in our state.

Join us in trying to build a Florida future where all families and communities thrive.
