Julie Groce is a mom, wife, educator, and volunteer with MomsRising. Julie started her career as an educator in Tucson, Arizona where she taught elementary school. Shortly after her son was born, her family moved to Michigan to be closer to extended family. Julie currently works as a middle school math teacher and a guest lecturer at Oakland University. She has presented at several math educator conferences and is the former secretary of Michigan's Council of Teachers of Mathematics. In her spare time, Julie indulges reading, crafting, and crocheting. With her family, they enjoy board games, camping, swimming, and watching movies.
