Across the nation, MomsRising members are transforming personal economic strain into collective political power through localized "Moms are Feeling the Squeeze!" Kitchen Table Events. From living rooms to coffee shops, families gathered directly with lawmakers to highlight the crushing reality of today’s care and affordability crises—demonstrating that skyrocketing costs for child care, healthcare, and everyday essentials are systemic policy failures rather than individual shortcomings. By putting human faces to these urgent issues and confronting harmful budget cuts, these grass-roots gatherings turned community stories into a unified, powerful demand for affordable care, living wages, paid leave, and policy reform.

MomsRising leader Maria Elena mobilized local families to break the silence on the compounding pressures of Vegas's shifting economy, high costs, and systemic fears. The gathering illuminated how declining tourism and immigration anxieties directly impact the paychecks and safety of frontline workers and their children.
