MomsRising and MamásconPoder invited over 40 of our powerful mom leaders and caregivers from 22 states across the country to join us for our Mom Power Bootcamp 2025! We brought together moms, advocates, Fellows, Fellow Alumni, and other engaged volunteers to share their stories and develop critical leadership and momentum-building advocacy skills in child care, early childhood education, and other key care issues that affect families with young children.
A key component of our powerful event was partnering with mom leaders in shared learning and building our community-based advocacy skills together. Some of our brilliant mom leaders partnered with our staff to lead workshops about mutual aid, values-based relational organizing, artivism, and more to share with all our attendees how to organize. We held an exciting book fair with a selection of books related to movement topics shared during our Bootcamp, including children’s books to get our future leaders engaged. But we also had a ton of fun (because our joy is critical to building change!), including an exciting freeze dance movement break to bring together all our MOMentum energy with our kiddos!
✨ #MomPower25 Bootcamp Day 1 ✨: Over 40 moms came together to build power in leadership skills & MOMentum-building efforts in early childhood advocacy. Our members plan to organize their communities & hold elected officials accountable to put #FamiliesOverBillionaires! #SolveChildCare #MomSky

“...It really motivates me to be [at the Mom Power Bootcamp 2025] because it inspires me to go back to my community, [do] more work, and make more [of an] impact.”
- Alena, Pennsylvania mom and Mom Power Bootcamp 2025 attendee
Our powerful moms and families also joined us for our Mother's Day event on Capitol Hill. We got the opportunity to make our outside voices heard by sharing our stories on care policies that impact young children like child care and why elected leaders must prioritize families over billionaires!
We are using our OUTSIDE VOICES for Mother's Day (and every day)! Moms across the nation join us & @MamasConPoder.org in DC to demand an end to Trump's attacks on programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and child care. It's time to put #FamiliesOverBillionaires! #MomsForMedicaid #MomSky
