Meet Elias. He is one of 800,000 Dreamers fighting for their ability to continue with their lives in the United States. Dreamers are young people that were brought to the U.S. as children. Many Dreamers, like Elias, did not know that they were not citizens until they were unable to pursue their education and professional dreams alongside their peers.

After Elias tragically lost his mother, he did not know that carried another tragic burden of becoming undocumented. The DACA program allowed him to have a work permit and to be protected from deportation, which propelled his dreams as he worked hard and was awarded a full scholarship to college. Unfortunately, President Trump ended the DACA program on Sept 5th 2017, leaving 800,000 DREAMERS in jeopardy.

In fact, 850 DACA recipients are losing their work permit and protection each week that Congress does not pass a legislative solution. DACA recipients losing their work will lead to at least $3.4 billion in turnover costs for employers and our nation's workforce will lose the talent of young people like Elias.

Moms know that the diversity of our nation is what’s made our country strong, innovative, and prosperous. DACA beneficiaries will contribute $460.3 billion to the U.S. gross domestic product over the next decade. The bi-partisan DREAM Act 2017 is urgently needed legislation that provides a path to legal status for 1.8 million DREAMers. Call 1-888-668-8919 now and tell Congress to pass the Dream Act now!
