Growing up, my Mom always told us, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." I'm pretty sure you heard it from the adults in your life as well when you were a child. Turns out they were right. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day.

Eating a healthy breakfast before school helps a child focus. It also provides children with the energy they need to make it through the morning. A tired, hungry child does not have the energy or the focus needed to pay attention and excel in school. Thankfully, schools nationwide provide a healthy and affordable way for kids to start the day.

Join @MomsRising, @FRACtweets and @USDAnutrition on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. Eastern, to learn more about National School Breakfast Week. We'll be sharing resources, discussing school participation, and student eligibility!
