“The budget proposal the Trump administration released this morning has all the wrong priorities. It fails to support the programs moms and families rely on to raise our families and contribute to our communities, while boosting military spending to unprecedented levels and continuing harmful spending on ICE and Border Patrol. America’s moms want our government to fund health care, including maternal and reproductive health; education; child, elder, and disability care; food and nutrition; housing; paid family and medical leave; and in other ways to address the affordability crisis. We want our government to vigorously stamp out discrimination, not defund the programs designed to end it. We want a tax code that requires the wealthiest corporations and individuals to pay their fair share, and policies that respect immigrant communities and treat immigrant care and other workers fairly.
