Congresswoman Scanlon to Hear from Chester Moms, Kids At "Moms Feel the Squeeze" Conversation Tuesday Afternoon
Lisa Lederer, 202/371-1996
On Tuesday at 3:30pm, Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon will join a meetup hosted by MomsRising to hear directly from Chester-area moms about how soaring costs are squeezing their families. At the lemon-themed kitchen table conversation, moms and caregivers will share personal stories about how they are feeling “squeezed” from all sides, as the cost of child care, health care, groceries, gas, back-to-school supplies and more continues to skyrocket. Families will also discuss the policies Congress should prioritize to make life more affordable.
The event is open to the media. It will include lemonade and squeezable lemon stress balls. It is part of a series of events hosted by MomsRising and its members across the country to mobilize families to share their stories and “stop the squeeze.”
