Not registered yet? 10 states have same day voter registration. If you live in one of the states listed below and you want to register to vote with same day voting, click on your state for more information:

Not registered to vote and you live in North Dakota? Don't worry about it! You don't have to be registered to vote, because North Dakota does not have voter registration.

Election Day activities for kids: Keep kids occupied, entertained, and educated with these fun election day activities.

  • PBSKids’ Democracy Project has fun interactive election day activities for kids, including printable presidential playing cards: http://pbskids.org/democracy/

Take your children inside the booth with you (if your state and schedule allow)! Show them what they have to look forward to when it's their turn.

Be comfortable: You may have to stand in line today. It’s worth it! Make sure you’re all set up to have a comfortable wait by:

  • Wearing comfortable shoes
  • Fully charging your phone
  • Bringing snacks and/or a water bottle
  • Dressing in layers in case your polling place is unexpectedly hot or cold

Tell your friends: Sign our Pledge to vote and receive a virtual "I Voted" sticker to share on social media. Research shows that sharing on Facebook that you voted has a huge effect on encouraging your friends to vote.
