Jessica is a queer mom of two incredible kids! As a community organizer for most of her adult life, she has worked on countless campaigns and initiatives, focused mainly on LBGTQ issues, anti-racism work, reproductive health, gun violence prevention, and mental health. She is the founder of Social Justice Storytime; their mission is to promote an inclusive community by creating a nurturing space for children and families to learn and discuss contemporary issues through children’s literature.

I was raised by my mother, grandmother, and three uncles. My dad was not in my life until I was a teenager because he was an alcoholic. But as soon as he was sober, I saw him every Sunday, talked to him all the time, and immediately knew that he loved me and had my back, unconditionally.
