Families Will Discuss How Soaring Costs Are Squeezing Their Budgets

On Friday at 4:30pm, MomsRising Together will bring its “PA Feels the Squeeze” pop-up lemonade stand to the Cumberland Valley Rising Freedom Fridays Rally in Carlisle Square. Stocked with cans of real lemonade, the stand’s “Mom the Vote” team will engage families in conversation about how rising prices are squeezing their families, and share information about the importance of voting in the midterm elections.

Over the past month, the pop-up lemonade stand has traveled across Pennsylvania – with stops in Harrisburg, Scranton, Bethlehem and elsewhere – to gather stories about the soaring cost of health care, groceries, gas, child care and more.

The event is open to the media. As many as 100 parents, children and community members are expected.
