This week, a meaningful opportunity for Washington State to fix its inequitable tax code and stabilize our state’s overall health was introduced in the legislature. This Millionaires Tax (HB 2725/SB 6346) will be a major structural shift in the direction of fairness and tax justice. It asks millionaires to pay a little more while we bolster sufficient funding for essential programs and become less reliant on regressive taxes like the sales and property tax.
