MomsRising Staffer

We're thrilled to welcome the newest class of MomsRising Beacon leaders! This year marks our largest Beacon network yet, with 97 volunteer leaders stepping up to strengthen communities and build power for families across the country—including 25 new Beacons and 72 Hub Leaders.

The Beacon Program is a vibrant community of parent and caregiver advocates who are passionate about creating a better future for all families. Together, they support one another, collaborate across states, and partner with MomsRising to drive meaningful change in their communities and at every level of government.

Our newest Beacons bring a wide range of experiences to the network. Some are seasoned organizers and longtime advocates, while others are taking their first steps into grassroots leadership. What they all share is a commitment to making a difference—and a desire to grow their skills, confidence, and impact.

Throughout the year, Beacon leaders receive hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship that equips them to:

  • Share their stories in powerful ways that inspire action.

  • Organize their communities and educate decision-makers on issues like affordability, healthcare, child care, paid family and medical leave, education, and more.

  • Build confidence as advocates through practical skills training, mentorship, and opportunities to practice and grow.

  • Lead local events and actions as part of MomsRising's million-member movement, with access to ready-to-use resources, toolkits, and support.

  • Connect with an inspiring national network of fellow Beacon leaders through virtual gatherings, group chats, collaborative campaigns, and shared learning.

When parents and caregivers have the tools, support, and community they need, they become extraordinary advocates for change. We can't wait to see what this incredible group accomplishes in the year ahead.

Welcome, Beacons—we're so glad you're here!
