On Thursday morning outside the U.S. Capitol, MomsRising representatives in heart costumes urged Congress to pass urgently needed policies that families love, including affordable child care, full funding for WIC (the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children), and an expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC).

The volunteers handed out candy and held signs that said, “Don’t go breaking our hearts! Pass policies that families and our economy LOVE!”
MomsRising leaders and members delivered the Valentines, which were hand-decorated by moms across the country with messages about why their families, businesses, and our economy need these policies.
In addition, MomsRising members in more than a dozen states will deliver candy and storybooks about child care, WIC, the CTC, and more to members’ local offices over the next week.
