Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) Joins Good Trouble PERSISTs.
VIRTUAL, UNITED STATES – On Thursday, July 17, Good Trouble PERSISTs. will bring together advocates, artists, and elected leaders for a powerful virtual rally, joining over 1,600 events nationwide to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and take a stand against the growing attacks on our civil and human rights.
Inspired by Lewis’ call to make “good trouble, necessary trouble,” we’re coming together to fight back against a coordinated campaign to criminalize protest, suppress the vote, slash vital public programs, and silence dissent. From bills like the Big Beautiful Bill and the SAVE Act to Trump’s push to gut basic freedoms, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
