Turning One

When we had Thanksgiving at our house, my mom cooked every dish from scratch.  She baked fresh bread, cooked five-course Chinese dinners, and made jam from blackberries that we picked -- and she worked part-time.  Though I don't have the patience for the kitchen that she does (and I don't know how she found the time that I can't find!), because of her, I've baked cookies with my boys since they were toddlers; I do bake the occasional raisin bread: and I make the best spaghetti anyone has ever tasted (the go-to meal for the busy worrking mom.)  Happy Mothers Day!
