Diarra (pronounced Jah-duh) works full time as Campaign Director at MomsRising on the Maternal Justice, School-to-Prison-Pipeline, and Immigration campaigns. Working with groups like Community United for Police Reform (CPR) and Dignity in Schools has molded her into a true freedom fighter; advocating, daily, to abolish the prison system, remove police out of schools, and dismantling policies that harm Black students nationwide. Diarra is passionate about fighting for a person's access to abortions, empowering LGBTQ+ communities in all aspects, upholding institutions that perpuate white supremacy and capitalism responsible, and powerbuilding with partner organizations and coalitions. During her undergrad career, she's facilitated creative movement dance classes for children with adverse childhood experiences, based on principles of social emotional development and trauma informed care. Diarra hopes to use her degree in Dance/Movement therapy to create spaces for people that are safe, inclusive, educational, that contributes to healthy lifestyles for all.
