Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is sworn in to testify in front or the Senate Judiciary Committee

Yesterday was heart-wrenching, nauseating, and sad; and it was devastating for many sexual assault survivors across the country.

A GOP-appointed prosecutor tried—and failed—to discredit the testimony of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in front of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. This courageous survivor gave the country an important teaching moment on the devastating impact of sexual violence with her dignified, forthright, persuasive testimony about Supreme Court Nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. But U.S. Senate Republicans have already scheduled a committee vote for this morning to trudge forward with his confirmation!

TODAY—Join with women and families across the country at a U.S. Senate office near you to say you #BelieveSurvivors and we need to #StopKavanaugh! Say you’re interested by clicking here.

Here’s what we’re asking you to do:

Go to your nearest U.S. Senator’s office at noon local time today, Friday, September 28th. Wear black. Bring #BelieveSurvivors, #WithdrawKavanaugh, #JusticeForSurvivors signs if you can. Find others, circle up, take photos, and tell Senate staff you're there.

(And if you don’t live near a U.S. Senate office, you can still participate! Just wear black, take a photo of yourself with your sign and Tweet it with #BelieveSurvivors & #StopKavanaugh to your U.S. Senators or you can call your Senator at 1-855-976-1895 and tell them that women and families deserve a full FBI investigation of the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh before a vote.)

The moms of America are grateful for Dr. Blasey Ford’s courageous testimony and deeply sorry for the sacrifice of privacy and security that she has endured. This is why we’re joining with fellow advocates across the country for rapid-response protests at U.S. Senate offices at noon (local time) on Friday (today!).

Let us know you’re interested and get more info about these rapid-response protests happening across the country!

The current situation is not okay. Despite Dr. Ford’s courageous and credible testimony and Kavanaugh’s antagonistic and disingenuous responses to questions by many on the committee, Committee Chairman, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley has committed to trudge forward with a vote for the Judiciary Committee this morning, paving the way for a full confirmation vote for the U.S. Senate in the next few days.

We’re asking EVERYONE to join in to show up for survivors and to speak out against a vote on Kavanaugh without a thorough FBI investigation of the sexual assault allegations against him. Much needed local media attention delivers the message to your U.S. Senators that you support Dr. Blasey Ford and oppose Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination. We can create the pressure to stop this confirmation—but we need everyone to speak out!

It’s outrageous for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to hold a vote before the FBI has fully investigated the allegations by three very credible women, Dr. Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez, and Julie Swetnick. In the absence of this investigation, Judge Kavanaugh should not tarnish the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and should instead withdraw his name from consideration.

Time is short, and our voices must be heard! Join with fellow advocates across the country to speak out against the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States! Let us know you’re interested by clicking here.
