We are sounding the alarm! We need your mom superhero powers—stat!

A storm is brewing on Capitol Hill and we need to stand up for Medicaid and SNAP! It’s clear that many of our leaders are unaware of how many families turn to these programs to keep their families afloat.

We want YOU (and your friends and kids!) to join us on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, June 21st to help deliver booklets of stories on Medicaid and SNAP to members of Congress as a way of  speaking up for moms, children, and families around the country!

***RSVP now! You don’t want to miss out on this high-impact, WONDERful event!

Here’s what’s going on: We are joining our super forces with policy partners to speak out and tell the stories about why Medicaid, quality, affordable healthcare, and SNAP is important to our families. We want you (and your little superheroes) to join us on Capitol Hill so we can show the press and key Senate offices that Medicaid and SNAP is so important to the health and nutrition of millions of families. It will take all our superpowers to break through the politics and rhetoric on these important issues, but we’ve got you and your little ones covered—we’ll bring the superhero capes. You bring your energy, stories, and mom power!

Here are the details:

Who: Moms, dads, kids, and the people who love them! We will be joined by policy partners from around D.C. for a speak out on health care before heading into the Senate office buildings to deliver storybooks of Medicaid and SNAP stories from moms around the country.

What: A superhero-themed delivery to share our stories and tell key U.S. Senators “Medicaid and SNAP do wonders for America's kids, families, and economy!"

When: Wednesday, June 21st at 11a.m. (We will hold the speak out first, then head into the Senate offices to deliver our Medicaid and SNAP storybooks. There will be a crowd, so be sure to meet up with us—we’ll be the ones with the capes!)

Where: The grassy area in front of the Supreme Court (on 1st and Constitution). The closest metro stops are Union Station and Capitol South

**We would love for your little ones to dress up like their favorite superhero (costumes, masks, t-shirts…whatever reveals their super powers). We’ll also be handing out capes at the event!

***RSVP now for this fun, high-impact, timely, POWERFUL event on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, June 21st!

Now is the time for Congress to hear from you! They are discussing many different proposals that could fundamentally impact the future of Medicaid and SNAP. We need your help educating them about how important these programs are to moms, children and families.

After you RSVP forward this blog to friends and family who might want to join us or post the RSVP page to Facebook (including local moms and parents groups!). We need to make sure we are seen and heard on these important issues!

**Don’t forget to RSVP!!!

We can’t wait to see you, and your little superheroes, on Wednesday, June 21st!
