Fun fact: Taking action on issues that really matter to families, our economy and our country can help you have a great week! Nothing is more inspiring than joining tens of thousands of other people in speaking out — and that's a feeling that lasts. Because together, we're a groundswell of parent power and positivity that can't be ignored!

So get YOUR week off to a great start, and take action on the important #5Actions issues below. Thank you!

1. All Hands on Deck for Health Care!

--> ACTION: http://action.momsrising.org/survey/healthcare-stories/

BACKGROUND: Sad to say, many members of Congress have ZERO idea of what families in our nation when health emergencies happen. This means that sharing our experiences with members of Congress can be a powerful wake up call for them about the importance of not stripping health care access and protections. Do tell! Access to healthcare is under attack & your voice can make a difference in the fight to protect our health care! Share your experiences and tell us why Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act (i.e. access to healthcare) matter to you—and we’ll share a book of these stories with Congress.

2. Quick Signature: Sign Our Letter Supporting Legislation To Protect Pregnant Workers!

--> ACTION: http://action.momsrising.org/sign/PregnantWorkers2017/

BACKGROUND: We're using all that chocolate energy, every single breakfast in bed, and even flower power from Mother's Day to help fuel our fight as we gear up to turbocharge our campaign to win passage of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act in Congress. Join us! This is a big deal. It may be the 21st century, but pregnant workers are still being denied reasonable, medically-necessary accommodations at work (like water breaks or being able to sit down) because of loopholes in the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. Add your voice!

3. Sign Up To Be a School Wellness Hero!

--> ACTION: http://action.momsrising.org/survey/school_wellness/

BACKGROUND: Schools need to hear from parents like us! DYK school districts must update their wellness policies by the end of June? A wellness policy is basically the plan for how a school will promote health and well-being. It covers important topics like PE and marketing in schools. This is a great opportunity to support healthy schools. Sign up to be a School Wellness Hero, and drop off a school wellness kit in person or by email this month. When you sign up, we’ll send you a school wellness kit, talking points, and a "School Wellness Hero" sticker you can wear with pride!

4. Join us for a Facebook Live chat on #MaternalJustice & Police Reform, 5/17, 12pm ET/9am PT

RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/events/856534131152036/

BACKGROUND: No one should lose their loved one due to the actions of those who should be protecting them. Yet again and again we are confronted with death at the hands of the police. Join Momsrising ‘s special 4 part #MaternalJustice FB Live series with The Root to discuss #PoliceReform with those who have lost their loved ones and with the activists who are fighting alongside them for justice.

5. Share Where You Pumped (free sticker!)

--> ACTION: http://action.momsrising.org/signup/ipumpedhere-sticker/

BACKGROUND: We've laughed about it. In conversations about some of our experiences breastfeeding and the ridiculous places we've had to pump breastmilk. We share horror stories about having to pump in cars, in bathrooms, and in the busy lobby of an office building! Which is why we are so excited to share these awesome, free, and removable #IPumpedHere stickers with you! Simply slap it on the wall or a surface where you’re pumping, snap a pic with your phone, hashtag the picture with #IPumpedHere and post it to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. 60% of pumping women don't have basic workplace accommodations or adequate break time. But, with these stickers and your help, we're about to change that.

Thank you for all you do to make our nation stronger and a place where everyone can thrive! #KeepMarching!
