We’re staring at the news on our computer screens in horror: U.S. Senators Manchin and Collins just announced they’d vote YES on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Tomorrow (Saturday) the full U.S. Senate is voting on whether or not to officially confirm him for a lifetime appointment and we all saw this week how one or two powerful voices at an elevator bank can change the mind of a key legislator

It’s all hands on deck. We have some emergency urgent actions for you to do ASAP because the clock is ticking to the full U.S. Senate vote:

*Hit the streets! Sign up to be at a Saturday “No Justice, No Seat” event near you: https://act.weareultraviolet.org/event/no-justice-no-seat/search/?source=momsrising

(Note: For these “No Justice, No Seat” events, MomsRising is joining Ultraviolet, Planned Parenthood Action Fund • Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights • Women's March • NARAL Pro-Choice America • United State of Women • Sierra Club • Feminist Majority • National Women’s Law Center • Center for Popular Democracy Action • Advocates for Youth • NAACP • NDWA • MoveOn • Alliance for Justice Action Campaign • UltraViolet Action, and more)

*Call! Please keep calling your U.S. Senators until they vote tomorrow: Just dial 1-855-976-1895 and we’ll connect you. (And if your Senators have already announced they’re voting “NO,” thank them and then ask them to talk to their colleagues who are voting “YES.” If they have announced they are voting “YES,” then tell them what you think and keep urging them to “Vote NO on Kavanaugh”).

What’s happening in Washington, D.C. is awful, but one truth is shining through: Together we are the loud, visible, necessary force our nation needs right now.

We. Got. Us.

And we’ve got to keep pushing forward together. Make a donation to MomsRising today to help supercharge our work as we head toward election day.

*Please also share this blogpost with friends and post about this on social media. The more of us who raise our voices, the more powerful we’ll be together.

Together we are a powerful voice for justice!
