We’re staring at the news on our computer screens in horror: U.S. Senators Manchin and Collins just announced they’d vote YES on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Tomorrow (Saturday) the full U.S. Senate is voting on whether or not to officially confirm him for a lifetime appointment and we all saw this week how one or two powerful voices at an elevator bank can change the mind of a key legislator.
