Concerned about hunger in our state and communities? Want to learn more and do something about it? You can! Join me at one of the upcoming Hunger Forums. Read on to learn more!

The purpose of the Hunger Forums is to create an environment where we can listen and learn about food insecurity from the experiences of those in the communities. These Forums will also serve as valuable conveners for advocates to talk about big picture problems and solutions around hunger.

Each of the forums will feature panelists addressing hunger on a community level, as well as people with the lived experiences(Delete the s)  of food insecurity. The forums will include discussions on solutions being implemented to address the problem at a community-level, as well as current challenges and how they might be addressed.

Carolina Public Press has been reporting on a year-long series, Faces of Hunger.  They initiated these forums to help their reporters have context on the issue by talking to people facing hunger as well as those working to address hunger, all in the same room.

BIG NEWS: Carolina Public Press has invited MomsRising to co-host these events! MomsRising will identify panelists, provide resources to participants, and facilitate small group breakout sessions.
