“We went from a family of three to four, double income to single. We have a plan through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that only costs us $168 per month and it's a godsend compared to the $1000+ we were paying. Everyone should have affordable health insurance!” - K, Colorado Mom

Health care costs are rising! Families are feeling the strain of rising costs—from everyday essentials like groceries and gas, to back-to-school supplies, child care, and health care. In addition, the cuts of the $1 trillion in health care cuts Republicans made in the Big, Ugly Budget Bill signed into law last summer are beginning to take effect and the Affordable Care Act’s enhanced premium tax credits are set to expire in 2025!

"I am self-employed. I will not be able to afford the premiums without the subsidies (my estimated increase is from $513/month to ~$1500/month. I don't know what I will do, but as someone with chronic health issues, this is terrifying." - Laura, Illinois Mom

We need families (like yours!) to share your experience with rising health care costs to help members of Congress understand how health policy is impacting their constituents. Your personal stories make a huge difference in helping elected leaders and other parents understand the far reaching impact of rising health care costs.
