As a parent, I want to give my child every opportunity available to grow into a healthy adult. I read them books before bedtime, keep an eye on the television programs they're watching and make sure they get their fruits and veggies. And then I heard about Chlorpyrifos.

"Chlorpyrifos is a toxic pesticide that is commonly used in conventional agriculture and widely found on fruits and vegetables." -  Miriam Rotkin-Ellman, Scientist

Do I have your attention yet? I sure hope so! Because the effects of this pesticide is far-reaching.

To raise awareness, and empower our readers to make better choices for themselves and their families, @MomsRising is hosting a #FoodFri chat with will the Natural Resources Defense Council, NRDC for short, food program.

Join us on September 22, 2017 at 1pm EST, to learn more about Chlorpyrifos, a dangerous and toxic pesticide, how it's being used on our food supply. Join us by using the hashtag #FoodFri.
