With a looming budget deficit and a staggering $15.5 billion in proposed budget cuts, California's children have lost in a big way. But there is something -- even if that something seems small right now -- that we can do. We can protect our children from the toxicity of bisphenol A (BPA), a toxic chemical found in many children's products from baby bottles to sippy cups.

How? In the next three weeks the California Assembly will be voting on a proposed law to ban this toxic chemical. (You can get more information on the toxicity of BPA here.)

In the meantime, here is what you can do: If you live in Artesia, Baldwin Park, Coachella, El Dorado Hills, Fremont, Gardena, Pomona, Rialto, San Diego, Santa Ana, Sylmar, or Torrance, California, your Assemblymember is on the fence about whether to support this important bill. Please join us for an in-district meeting with your Assemblymember by signing up here.

The other option is to tell all your family and friends and attend this rally in front of the state capitol on August 26. There will even be a blown-up baby bottle to draw attention to our cause. Please help rid our children's products of BPA!

Thank you all for your commitment.
