I’m heading to LA this week, a day after the new president will be inaugurated. These are exciting times for women, mothers, children, families and citizens.

Even though parties (Big Washington Inaugural Parties) policies, presidents and politics will come and go, hopefully one thing will never change – Our freedom to express ourselves.

It’s my belief that art; as in music, poetry, painting and activism, and all the things associated with it, are the best America has to offer. In times of great economic crisis, perpetual war and planetary eco-drama, we can at least offer up a united song that lifts the spirit and makes the world’s heart beat as one. What is the saying? Music is the universal language!

On that note, I’ll be at the GO GREEN EXPO with a MaMapalooza, ‘Sustainable Women’ table, sharing the celebration of drumming circles, folk music, yoga, balms and teas. Please look for us January 23, 24, 25 at the LA Expo Center, booth 431 in the kids zone.

Stop by and say ‘Hi’. We’ll be buzzing about all the great work mom organizations are doing together and oh, yeah….. chat about the new president.
