MOMS VOTE. FAMILIES WIN!
With your support, the MomsRising community powered up an impressive wave of election wins this November.
In Ohio, we had a successful program to get out the Mom Vote and then we cheered the passage of a constitutional amendment guaranteeing the right to an abortion. We worked hard to support this victory, coordinating with the Ohio Ballot Initiative Committee to reach 75,000 key Ohio moms who were likely supporters of the initiative. This win is critical for moms, as 6 in 10 people who need and get an abortion are moms.
There’s more!
Throughout the country, mom voters said NO to rightwing harm and hate in our schools and YES to school board candidates running to strengthen public schools and get our students what they need. Conservative extremists endorsed by Moms for Liberty and the 1776 Project lost a whopping 8 of out 10 races on Election Day. Your support helped us educate and motivate voters to stand up for kids and repudiate the bigoted agenda of far-right MAGA-powered groups.

NORTH CAROLINA COUNTY APPROVES PAID LEAVE
MOMentum builds for paid family leave!
This month the MomsRising North Carolina community played a pivotal role in the passage of the Family First Paid Leave Policy, which expands paid leave policies to meet the caregiving needs of Durham County employees. Addressing the emergency of 1 in 4 women having to go back to work after a new baby arrives is critical, so we’re thrilled about this passage.
With this victory, more than 20 municipalities in North Carolina have adopted paid leave policies to support their employees. It’s safe to say MOMentum is growing!
Moms are powerful!
