True confession: I did more than a couple of double takes at the TV during the last Presidential debate:Could the moderators really be asking THAT!?

Why aren't they asking about the high cost of childcare? Can we please talk about paying women the same as men for the same work?!

*We can change this! Can you lend a (typing) hand to help change the Presidential debate questions so the candidates focus on real bread-and-butter issues that working families face each day? Sign onto our open letter to CNN urging them to ask the questions that matter to working families and to our economy!

This next debate is going to be moderated by CNN—and they are calling for people like you and me to share their ideas for questions that they should ask the candidate. And we have some questions!

It’s time to “use our outside voices” to urge CNN to be the news organization that FINALLY asks the Presidential candidates where they stand on the policies that matter to moms, dads, and working families, like: like pay equality, healthcare, paid family/maternity/paternity leave, and more.

Thank you for ALL you do!

PS: Here’s the lowdown & background on this project: In order to make sure that every major candidate for President hears the top priorities of real people, and not just orders from corporate lobbyists, MomsRising conducted a survey of our more than one million members to determine their top policy issues. The issues that MomsRising members identified formed the basis of our MomsVote platform, which is on the MomsRising Candidate Clue Detective Card that MomsRising members use to track the candidates’ positions during all of the debates. *So stay tuned: In addition to urging CNN to ask the candidates where they stand on these top policy priority areas right now, MomsRising will continue to closely track what the candidates say on our Candidate Clue Detective Card during the debates. We’ll hold the candidates accountable for sharing their position on each priority policy issue that affects moms, dads, and working families so there will be no mystery as to where they stand! Together, we’re going to uncover which candidates “have a clue,” and which candidates are “clueless” about the policies that matter to working families!
