TAKE ACTION: Let’s talk about what women are paid
Want to make a difference? All it takes is a phone, an ear, and a few minutes. Today, American women are still paid only 77 cents for every dollar paid to men (with mothers and women of color experiencing increased wage hits). Nine out of ten American workers don’t have paid family leave (maternity/paternity leave), and nearly 40 million people don’t have a single paid sick day. Plus - right now, childcare costs more than college in most states, creating a critical need for affordable, quality child care in this country.
This needs to change.
That’s why MomsRising, our allies, and our champions in Congress invite you to join us on Wednesday, January 29 for an unprecedented national conversation about these issues and the changes that will advance income equality and economic security for women and families in America.
The more people who are on this call, the louder a message it sends to Congress that it’s time to move forward on issues important to our families. In short, by adding your phone and your ear to a phone call where top Congressional leaders share the inside scoop, you can help build momentum for needed change.
Can you make it? All you need is your phone. Just click here to RSVP now:
