Building a Safer and Healthier World for Our Families
Want to say goodbye to those ever increasing parental worries about toxic chemicals? So do we! We're sick and tired of reading report after report about dangers associated with the products we use everyday. MomsRising has joined a growing movement of workers, scientists, fertility experts, and advocates in supporting comprehensive reform for America's chemical policy. As part of the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families campaign, we're calling for updated chemical regulations so that chemicals are proven to be safe before they are out on the market and in the products our kids use every day. Join our Safer Chemicals Campaign today!
The Safe Chemicals Act of 2011
The Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 (TSCA) grandfathered in 62,000 chemicals. Since then, the EPA has required testing of less than 1 percent of the chemicals in commerce! Our broken system leaves us exposed to countless toxic chemicals every day, chemicals that put our families at risk for cancer, learning disabilities, infertility, and more. We can't protect our kids and families from toxics without the help of federal legislation. To gain real MOMentum on this important issue, we need your help. Tell Congress that it's time to get serious about TSCA!
