My husband was laid off in December, and just got a new job that starts in March. The health insurance his new company offers is much less than we had with his previous job, and would cost us thousands of dollars.

When we went to buy private health insurance from a small business pool, we discovered that he's uninsurable because of a minor health condition that has cost less than $500 over the last 5 years.

We can't afford to drop COBRA. We can't afford COBRA. We can't get private insurance.

We NEED the health coverage we'll get for pre-existing conditions in 2014. If you repeal it, our kids will be at risk, our family will have to be uninsured or underinsured when COBRA ends. We're hanging on by our financial fingernails until 2014.
