Mother’s Day Card with Drawer Sachet: Craft Tutorial

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and I’m always on the hunt for clever ideas that say,”You are an awesome Mom!”
The other day, I started thinking about how teeny-tiny luxuries (like romantic smelling drawer sachets) are something that any mother would enjoy. After all, don’t we all have sock drawers?
For this DIY project, you will need a sewing machine* (and obviously thread), paper and blank cards, a permanent marker, potpourri, scrap fabric and scissors.
*As an alteration to this project, you could glue-on the “dresser” pocket and substitute the sachet for something else that could easily tuck into that space like a pretty handkerchief.

After sewing your potpourri sachet (with tiny little pillow cover) you’ll sew a rectangular piece of paper (with drawers sketched on) to your card (either inside the card or on the front cover) then slip your sachet inside the “dresser” pocket.

There are literally dozens of designs you could make for the inside and out of the card.

The possibilities are endless! For a step by step guide jump to the full tutorial here.
Happy Mother’s-Day-card-making, my friends!
