Health reform has given our family hope during this difficult economic downturn.

My husband and I have two adult children (a son and a daughter) who were both out of work for several years.  Both of them are single parents with two children each.

On two pensions and a Social Security check, we had to maintain three homes with food, utilities and rent/mortgage.  My husband reached the donut hole last year which made things even harder since one of his medications was $140.00 per month.

Thankfully, both our children are now working and health reform has ensured that my granddaughter can remain on her mother’s insurance.  This is truly a blessing!   My granddaughter has had some medical issues and we didn't know how she was going to make it otherwise.

Health reform and improving economy make me so much more positive about the way things are going in this country.
